Choices. We all have to make them. And now more than ever, the choices we make affect our lives in the present and in the future. The fact that there are so many choices available to us dosen't make it any easier.
Things that you can choose to do instead of using drugs and alcohol:
- Participate in after school activies such as sports, clubs or volunteering.
- Focus on your health and overall well being.
- Talk about your feelings to someone you trust. Seek professional help if you need it.
- Find a mentor that leads by example and provides positive support.
- Choose to ignore peer pressure and be yourself.
- Have a positive attitude and avoid people who are constantly negative.
If you have a substance abuse problem, choose to get help. It will be the best choice you make in your life.
