In the fall of 2009, LADS created a new slogan to help inform the public about the best ways to decrease substance abuse in Lloydminster.
A three pronged approach, Be Aware, Care, Take Action, gives concerned people a starting off point in their fight against substance abuse in their homes, their workplace or their neighbourhoods.

LADS believes that informing people about substance use is an important step in empowering people to prevent and reduce substance use. We have several different resources available to the public on-line and available for promotional uses at community events.
The main resources available are:
- The LADS Resource Handbook: This PDF document is packed with information, from local services to how to spot a drug house in your neighbourhood. Available in one document or in chapters.
- Ipsos Community Survey: A telephone survey was conducted March 28 to April 11, 2008 with a random sample of 400 Lloydminster residents aged 14 years or older and 100 Lloydminster businesses, to determine their perceptions and attitudes towards substance abuse in Lloydminster.
- Promotional Material: Posters, gadgets, toys and more. Build awareness at your school or public event.
- Links: the internet is a great resource to learn more about substance abuse issues and how and where to get help.
